Rich Lois Frazer, divorcing her fortune-hunter husband, finds he's bought a gun. Suspecting he plans to kill her, she calls in her lover, who just happens to be Homicide Lieutenant Ed Cullen. When Ed arrives, the gun gets used...and because of his relationship with Lois, Ed is compelled to compound a felony. The good news: Ed himself is assigned to the case. The bad news: Ed's hotshot younger brother Andy, a new- minted detective, is also on the case...and anxious to prove himself.

Review :

One great sequence otherwise sort of ho hum

Cobb and Wyatt have no chemistry and their "clutches" seem very perfunctory and that's a problem when their illicit relationship is supposed to drive them to desperate acts. Wyatt wears outlandish dresses that no one would ever where around the house and in general seems out of her depth in the noir surroundings. Cobb seems sort of at a loss as to what to do, and fails to generate the panic or nasty menace that his character should build to.

So it drags through the center section where their situation is supposed to get worse and worse. Very limited on location photography, though the process work isn't bad. The long extended and mostly silent sequence at Fort Point is even better than the one at the end of Point Break--which is in all other ways far superior to this film. This film is sub par aside from that suspenseful sequence.
